When constantly faced with internal adversity, it is crucial to be your best champion. This is my greatest struggle. My minds eye sees the critic, but fails to see the advocate. The advocate rests in the dark shade of hopelessness and despair. Then, a little girl yells to her papa in her native tongue of Mandarin, "Jia You!". So powerful a phrase. It means to add fuel or oil. Her father competes in front of a panel of judges. She, in the background next to the host, keeps yelling, "Jia You!" "Jia You". In English, "Come on!" "Come On". Two seemingly small words that mean to give a big encouragement to her papa are screamed with verocity.
Encouragement. Hope. Fuel. All of these things are ingredients to our victory against the evil Dark Lord of our disorder. We must be vigilant and vigilantes to the crimes committed in the mental realm in which we so often live. But, we can't live there though it may be oddly comfortable. We must encourage ourselves to get out. "Jia You" Jia You" we must be that little girl yelling at her papa to keep going. Keep facing the adversary. Keep fighting.
So often we tell ourselves that there is no hope. We can't do it. We'll never be in a good state. So often we utter these lies to ourselves. The advocate says keep fighting. Keep going. In the face of the Liar, champion the person God created you to be. In the face of the Liar, fight. "Jia You" Jia You". If we choose the quick and easy path, as Vader did in Star Wars, we choose to feed the lies. As a result, we slowly spiral into a deeper state of depression. We must hold on. We must go to war with the disorder and choose the more arduous path. The more difficult path to follow.
I say to all of us who suffer, "We are survivors!" "We are warriors!". FIGHT!
